Disability in the Classroom

Is anyone else engaging in bringiing disability scholarship and theory into their classroom? My own argument suggests that you can do that when you talk about any form of identity politics (race, gender, orientation), but wanted to know if anyone is using a more direct route? Do you know people who are? How's it working?

Stanley Fish

To start things off, I'm currently reading Fish's latest -- Save the World On Your Own Time -- and am amazed and scared at the same time. His argument is simple, and makes a lot of sense, but I wonder where the things happen that he doesn't want us to do...

Welcome

Welcome to Falstaff's Quill -- a blog designed to talk about teaching, literature, theoretical approaches, their intersections and interpretations in a college setting.

The blog takes its name from that character in Shakespeare who is a Jack of All Trades -- philosopher, teacher, thinker, and much more -- because none of us are done learning how to do what we do.

Ideas on these topics are varied, and you contribution is gladly appreciated.
